8TH GRADE YEARBOOK

Ms. Jorgenson

B-2

DESCRIPTION

Because designing the yearbook is such an important responsibility, only the very best art students are allowed into the Design class. We will study digital photography, design, computer technology and art production in order to design the yearbook for Vine Middle Magnet this year. We will sometimes take a break from design to do regular advanced art projects, so students will get to work with a variety of materials.  Whatever they are working with, students in Advanced Art are expected to do quality work.

GRADES ARE BASED ON: ATTITUDE Participation (including clean-up!)

ART PROJECTS

Effort (not talent)

Following Directions

Finishing Projects on time

Creativity, Craftsmanship, & Completion

How projects are graded:

A Excellent work: completed project with all directions followed, and well above and beyond effort required.

B Good work: completed project with all directions followed with above average effort.

C Average work; project is completed, and directions are followed.

D Below average work: project is not quite completed, or directions are not completely followed.

U Unacceptable work: project is incomplete and/or directions are not followed.

Students who not completed their assignments will have until the end of the current grading period to finish their work and bring up their grades. There will be a grade penalty however.
