Resources

            Numerous resources are available to you as part of the staff of Knox County and Vine Middle Magnet.  Knox County has the Sarah Simpson building which offers professional development in a variety of areas and the Teacher Resource Center where you can make displays for bulletin boards, charts, etc.  There are supervisors, consultants, and coaches who will come to our school to offer assistance in areas that you may be experiencing difficulties.  The different departments have supplementary materials that your department chair can check our so you can use them in your classroom.

            Vine also has a wealth of personnel and materials that are at your disposal such as:  instructional coaches, the mentoring team, CMCD coaches, language arts mentors for 6+1 Writing Traits, and BLT coordinators.   Our library has a variety of resources for our staff including laminators, the Accelerated Reading program, computers for the Orchard program as well as research projects and a librarian to assist you.

Vine also has a professional library with researched-based strategies that will help you in developing your lesson plans so that you can be more effective in the classroom.  These books are housed in the reading coach’s office (Langland building) and you may check them out at any time.

              Last but not least, Vine has a staff that are always available to you from the administrators, to the certified teachers, to the teacher assistants and the support staff who make up of the foundation of our program.

              Evaluation forms should be completed in the following order:
