Discipline Policy:

 Each student starts out fresh every day.  If a student breaks one of the classroom rules they are given a warning.  If they break another rule they are asked to change seats.  If they break another rule parents will be notified.  If they break another rule they will be sent to time out.  The classroom rules are as follows:

1. Raise your hand to speak.
2. Follow teacher’s first request.
3. Keep hands and feet to self.
4. Respect yourself and others.
5. Bring your tools for learning.
6. Use respectful language.
7. Be on time for class.
8. Respect personal space.

Tools for Learning:

Each student is expected to bring a pencil/pen, AR book and agenda book to class each day.

Homework: 

Your student is expected to read 15-20 minutes daily.  If there is additional homework it will be written in the agenda book.  The homework is expected to be turned in the next day or no credit will be received for the work.

Make-Up Work:

Students have 2 days for every day they were absent to turn in makeup work.  So if they miss one day they have two days to turn it in, if they miss two days they have 4 days to turn it in, and so on.  Each student is responsible for collecting their makeup work from their individual teachers.

Academic Honesty:

Any students caught cheating or copying others’ work will receive a “0” for the assignment.

Grading Scale:

93-100     A

85-92       B

75-84       C

70-74       D

0-69         U

Other Important Information:

1. Students will not be allowed to get drinks or use the restroom during class.  They must do this before class.
2. Students will not receive any credit for work which is turned in late or incomplete.
3. All papers must have the correct heading or points will be deducted.
