Welcome:
Course description: Students will be participating in the Project GRAD
Mathematics Program, which emphasizes hands-on activities and
individualized instruction. Students will be participating in daily
warmups and problem solving.

Goals
Students will be able to compute with fractions, decimals, and percents.
Students will be competent in geometry and algebra, which will be
emphasized throughout the year. Students will be able to solve problems of
various types.

Grading
Students will receive nine weeks' grades based on the Knox County Schools
grading scale. Grades will be assigned based on quizzes, daily work,
tests, and projects. Students will take Benchmark exams on a six weeks'
basis throughout the year.

Absences/Makeup work:
When absent, students should bring a note from home so that their absence
will be an excused absence, and they will be allowed to make up an missed
work. It is the student's responsibility to ask me or another student what
the assignment was for the day.

Classroom Guidelines:
Students are expected to exhibit good classroom behavior, respecting
themselves and others, enabling us to have a positive learning
environment.
