Welcome

Eighth grade proves to be a rather difficult year for most students. It is the year they've waited for in middle school. They are the leaders and trend setters who must leave a legacy for the rising seventh and eighth graders. It is my hope that amidst all of this, we as teachers will be able to give each student the necessary tools to succeed in high school. As parents and guardians, you are one of the motivating forces in this great endeavor. I welcome your support as we continue this school year.

Goals

The course goals are to develop the skills in language arts and improve the oral and written language of each student. The focus will be on grammar, usage, mechanics, writing, speaking, spelling, and literary
skills.
